Baine, Washington (February 24, 2021) – EAB Tool Company, North-America’s leading manufacturer of eco-friendly power tool accessories, today announced that it expects to invest approximately $1 Million over the next 5 years to reinforce their long-standing tool recycle program. The investments will be made towards better remanufacturing and recycling infrastructure and logistics to improve the efficiency of the return to recycle process.

“When we first started out in the early ‘70s, our recycle program was ahead of its time and we needed to convince our customers to recycle their blades and other accessories in exchange for savings towards their next purchase.  Forty years later, here we are in a time where sustainability is truly the main focus of this recycle program. On average, over the last 10 years, we’ve managed to recycle about 60 tons of metal each year, which would otherwise end up in landfills – we intend to double that number in the next 5 years and are determined to take the steps necessary to do so”, said Mike Longhi, Exec Vice President at EAB Tool Company.

Although the company’s focus has shifted from offering savings to truly reducing its carbon footprint and reversing the effects of the industry on climate change, EAB’s exchange program still offers great savings for customers – even better than the last decade. The company has now also expanded their recycling program and loyalties across their eCommerce channels so that more customers can conveniently partake in the program and contribute to the environmentally conscious initiative.
